While I lived in Texas and tried to run my company all by myself I fell pretty much flat on my face. The school of hard knocks kicked my butt.
I realized how many lists I am on for no apparent reason. I have started to “unsubscribe” from them. There is also a person who is apparently a golf fanatic and is misspelling his email when he signs up for things, and I get at least 100 golf related email messages a day, all for golf courses in the south and east.
School is a very risk averse environment. School gives you instructions for growth. School tells you what’s next. For instance, in college you get a counselor and a catalogue that says, take x classes, and y labs and get z degree. No risk, just success, by way of being awarded or conferred a degree.
For anyone considering Fi-Core, consider the worst non-union work you did, and imagine if that is all you could get because everyone declared Fi-Core and the studios simply let the union die. Is that really the acting life you want to live? If it is why did you join in the first place?
